How can I create a professional email newsletter?

I want to design a professional quarterly newsletter email for my company but I don’t know where to start. I want the emails to have graphics like the emails other well known companies might send you (e.g. Apple, or even Yahoo! Answers, etc.). I have the Adobe Creative Suite 4 if there is anything I can do with that. I also have Apple’s Mail application, but I don’t think there is much I can do with that.
